Great Day at the Global Leadership Summit!

Here is my Day at the Summit in a Few Words.

Before the Summit Started I was happily greeted by the Great and Amazing Staff at Calvary Community Church. As I sat at the receptionist desk I was introduced to so many leaders who touch so many different lives each day including mine. As the Summit started I did not know what to expect but I knew all I could do is put it in God’s hands. First Up, Bill Hybels my new idel. He emphaized that every leader is a learner. Also when a Leader gets better everyone Wins. He challeged all of us with five questions today. What is your current challenge level? What is your plan to deal with challenging people? Are you naming and solving the problems that are in your organiztion? When was the last time you reexamined your core values? Lastly, Have you had your leadership Bell rock your world? In conclusion he said “stop making excuses instead start creating NEW and BOLD solutions.” Also he stated “How you Finish is how you will be remembered!  Then we heard the President of Babson College Len Schlesinger. He really gave us a simple message is to act! You can’t predict the Future but you can ACT,” said Len. He also told us that if you want to get on a stage you need to get from here to there.(the stage) But you can’t get there before understanding here where you are today!  Before lunch we had someone who knows how to stand up. The Mayor of Newark,NJ Cory Booker. He was one of the best speakers today in my opinion because of his passion for this city that isn’t a perfect city but a city that needed help and Cory has had the will to confront it and stand out of the storm and he Acted! He really told us that “Don’t let the World around you tell you who you are supposed to be! Then in the afternoon we hear from so many more leaders around the world.
